"America's Favorite Little Dance Band"

Bio

. . . . . Well it all began back in 1979 when 5 guys got together to form the “Remember When” Band; which can still be heard playing nothing but vintage 50’s/60’s Rock & Roll. 3-Speed is a foot tappin’, happy music variety dance trio which is a “spin-off” of the original 5 piece band, but they also play classic country, swing, blues, big band, disco . . . DISCO??? Yes, and more!  3-Speed aims to please by playing the fans’ favorite oldies. They always play requests or hopefully something close or even learn the song and play it that same night. Folks literally sing & dance out the doors after a 3-Speed experience.

A Little Personal History about the Players

Butch Waxx (aka Andy) Plays lead and rhythm guitar, lead and backup vocals, and pretty much is the musical band director.  Butch hails from Safford, AZ and now resides in Tempe, AZ.

Aardvark (aka James) Plays bass guitar, blows harmonica & sings all at the same time, (WARNING: Don’t try this at home).  When we found Aardy, he was looking for a used car in the want ads. The band ended up with a used bass player.  Aardvark hails from Saginaw, MI, and now resides in Glendale, AZ

Slick Sticks (is really just an average Joe) Plays drums and percussions, lead and backup vocals, kazoo, siren whistle, MP-3 player & zucchini. He’s the gadget man of the group. Slick hails from Detroit, MI, and now resides in Chandler, AZ.
